With wealthy gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza already airing his third television ad in this nascent political season, Mark Dayton — the other financially fit candidate in the DFL race — has shot campaign footage on a farm and has a commercial in production, reports Politics in Minnesota.

PIM says Dayton was at Harold Eklund’s farm north of Cambridge for the shoot, and notes that the same farm has been the setting for ads for Congressman Jim Oberstar.

No word yet on TV ads from House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher, the party’s endorsed candidate in the DFL primary.

Republican-endorsed Tom Emmer can save his ad buy money for the main race in the fall and let the DFLers beat themselves up on the airwaves this summer.
