Low-interest loans will be available for homeowners and businesses that suffered damage from the June tornadoes and storms that hit Minnesota.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) made a disaster declaration Thursday, which means that low-interest disaster loans will be available to residents in Wadena and Otter Tail counties and the neighboring counties of Becker, Cass, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Todd and Wilkin.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s office says homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private, nonprofit organizations are eligible to get the loans to repair or replace real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment, inventory and business assets that have been damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster.

More information about the SBA loans will be available at the Wadena-Otter Tail Disaster Recovery Center in the National Guard Armory, 517 N. Jefferson St., Wadena, from 1 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday through Monday.
