Gov. Pawlenty flying to Oregon ed conference after attending Deputy Dewey funeral

Gov. Tim Pawlenty will attend the funeral of Mahnomen Deputy Chris Dewey today in Brooklyn Park. Dewey died last week, after being shot in February 2009 while answering a 911 call.

As many as 2,000 law enforcement officers from around the state are also expected for the 11 a.m. service at Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park.

From there, the governor flies to Portland, Ore., for the 2010 Education Commission of the States National Forum on Education Policy. Pawlenty is chair of the Education Commission of the States.

The conference runs through Friday. The governor will fit in some political work there, too, holding a fundraiser for Chris Dudley, a Republican running for governor.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s our fly-away governor…off again as the grass grows high and unattended at the governor’s mansion?

Then again, I suppose he has gardener, yet I do wonder what he pays or the state pays the guy who tends the grass etc…

When he’s on the run now, Paw doesn’t let grass grow under his feet, rhetorically exposing himself for all the world to hear like a stressed fish flapping its tail on somebody elses dock before it breathes its last political breath?

From bad-mouthing Obama; words without substance… plus trips to Nowhere, USA to support someone else who may be in the doldrums politically too? Some recommendation,eh?

This fly-away excuse for a state governor…he should always carry a bar of lye soap in his back pocket…wash out his mouth after each inept public performances.

And he’s not smiling anymore I notice…neither are too many in Minnesota.

Come on home and mow your own lawn at least, good governor…something to justify your present home address back at the mansion…
