Dueling endorsements: Two sets of farmers, two gubernatorial candidates

Two statewide farm groups have come to widely different decisions in Minnesota’s race for governor.

The Minnesota Farmers Union PAC, backed by about 10,500 members, endorsed DFL gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton today. Here’s the letter (PDF) from the MFU.

At the same time, the Minnesota Farm Bureau PAC announced its endorsement of Republican candidate Tom Emmer. The Farm Bureau claims about 30,000 members.
