Only two candidates for Friday governor’s forum in Duluth

Only Tom Horner and Mark Dayton will be on hand Friday in Duluth when the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits holds a forum with the governor’s candidates.

Republican Tom Emmer was also invited but formally declined the invitation Tuesday. DFLer Dayton and Independence Party candidate Tom Horner will go ahead with the forum.

The lunch event is part of a Nonprofit State Fair attended by nonprofit groups from around the state involved with human services, arts, environment, education, youth, housing and food.

Wow, Tom Horner’s prediction is coming true. It really is looking like a race between Dayton and Horner.

Non-profits are not the fruitful ground for Emmer. He is only interested in those that make a lot of money!

    Right.
These are all things that Emmer has implied (he’s too good a lawyer to be pinned down) that he’d cut from the State’s budget,
thus balancing the budget by cutting 2% of it.
