The Minnesota Trade Office will open a part-time office in conjunction with St. Cloud State University to help businesses with exports.
It will be open two days a month — no announced yet on which days — at the college’s Welcome Center, 355 Fifth Ave. S., St. Cloud. There’s also a state small-business development center in the building.
It’s the MTO’s first satellite office and will provide free consulting, technical assistance and marketing research to companies that are interested in exporting their products. In the future, it may host seminars, workshops and classes.
“We know there is a large manufacturing community in central Minnesota. This satellite office will help us reach that sector and other businesses in the region that are interested in exporting,” said Ed Dieter, acting director of the Minnesota Trade Office.
