Candidates sought for interim St. Paul School Board seat

The St.

The St. Paul School officials are looking for candidates to fill an interim opening on the board, now that board member Vallay Varro has resigned because of a new job.

The board will interview candidates and then appoint someone to fill out Varro’s term. A new member will be elected to the seat in the November city-wide election.

Board members must be city residents and attend monthly board meetings and committee of the board meetings; they’re paid $900 a month, with health and other employee benefits.

Interested? Submit a letter of interest and a resume by Jan. 3 by e-mail or fax to Assistant Board Clerk Marilyn Polsfuss at or fax: 651-290-8331. Qualified applicants will need to participate in a public interview by board members at a special meeting on Jan. 12 at the Administration building at 360 Colborne St. in St. Paul.
