Update: The Minnesota Canvassing Board has rescheduled its session for 11 a.m., after Tom Emmer’s announcement.
Tom Emmer’s lawyer has just sent an email to the Secretary of State’s Office requesting a delay in the start of the State Canvassing Board’s meeting this morning.
The board was set to begin examining challenged ballots in the gubernatorial recount at 9 a.m. today.
But in an email to Beth Fraser, a top staffer to Mark Ritchie, Eric Magnuson wrote: “We believe that if the Canvassing Board starts its meeting at 11:00, the proceedings will be significantly expedited.”
Emmer’s concession news conference is set for 10:30 a.m.
More later.
