Vadnais Heights dome also deflated in storm, but unlike Metrodome, this one’s back up already

Another dome deflated following the Dec.

Another dome deflated following the Dec. 11 snowstorm: the roof of the new Vadnais Heights sports dome came slowly down when heavy snow apparently blocked the air intake system.

It took 19 minutes to deflate, and everyone inside was safely evacuated, says the White Bear Press. It was reinflated Sunday.

Unlike the HHH Metrodome roof, which tore under the weight of the snow and ice, the Vadnais Heights dome is all one piece, without the seams that tore in Minneapolis.

The city dome is part of its new Sports Center, which had a grand opening last month.
