Kristin Hanson, a vice president at financial advisory firm Ehlers, will be the new assistant commissioner for debt management and treasury at the Minnesota Management and Budget department.
The announcement came from new MMB Commissioner Jim Schowalter.
Hanson had worked at Ehlers since 1995, according to the announcement, “helping school districts design and implement financial solutions. Other areas of expertise include voter approved building loans, maximum effort capital loans, alternative facilities bonds, capital facilities bonds, and cash flow borrowing.”
She’d also been a project analyst at an economic development firm and worked for the Minnesota House of Representatives and for Congress.
