Mayor Rybak offers anti-bullying message to GLBT youth

Minneapolis Mayor R.T.

Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak has taped an anti-bullying message aimed at supporting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender teens.

The 90-second video on YouTube is part of a PFund program called “You’re Not Alone.” His message concludes with:

“When I think about LGBT youth, kids in our schools, kids in our neighborhoods, who are just beginning to reach adolescence and understanding who they are and beginning to question who they are, I want everyone to feel really comfortable with exactly who you feel you are at that very moment … I want people to know they’re not alone.”

PFund, or Philanthrofund Foundation, is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that’s working to strengthen and celebrate LGBT communities.
