A request for proposals has gone out to radio stations asking for bids on the possible broadcast of a Gov. Mark Dayton radio show.

WCCO-AM had broadcast then-Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s weekly radio show on Fridays from 2003 until last November, with a break during his run for re-election in 2006.

The Dayton people are seeing what stations think about having the new governor on air.

MPR has the 16-page RFP online, and it indicates the governor would like a two-year deal for a one- or two-hour show, to be broadcast from the Capitol or somewhere of Dayton’s choosing. Dayton’s communications people would produce the show.

Will anyone bid?
