Commerce Secretary Gary Locke leads a federal “New Markets, New Jobs” event in Minneapolis Thursday. He’ll be joined by Gov. Mark Dayton and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak at the day-long session that’s designed “to help connect small and medium sized businesses with the resources they need to sell more of what they make overseas.”
Others coming for the session are U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk, Small Business Administration Administrator Karen Mills, Export-Import Bank Chairman Fred Hochberg, and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Kathleen Merrigan.
The conference is at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center.
