I’m sure those hardy state snowplow operators will have the roads clear in time for Gov. Mark Dayton to drive to North St. Paul tonight, where he’ll speak briefly at a dinner for the national American Legion commander, who’s touring 11 Minnesota legions.
American Legion National Commander Jimmie Foster of Alaska is on a four-day tour of Minnesota posts. He’s a Vietnam vet and was elected national commander last summer.
Foster also is having lunch today at the Golden Valley Legion Post.
Other stops for Foster:
- Tuesday, Cambridge Post at 8 a.m. and Grand Rapids Post at noon, and dinner at the Walker Post at 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, breakfast at the Brainerd Post at 9:30 a.m.; lunch at Detroit Lakes Post at 1 p.m. and dinner at the Ashby Post at 6 p.m.
- Thursday, breakfast at the Morris Post at 9 a.m.; Redwood Falls for a 1 p.m. lunch, and Chaska for a 6 p.m. dinner.
