Gov. Mark Dayton will present his first State of the State address at noon Wednesday in the state Capitol’s House Chamber.
With only five-and-a-half weeks in office, the new governor won’t have all the answers, but it will be interesting to see where he’s headed in the face of a Republican-controlled Legislature.
Don’t expect to see lawmakers line up hours early to get good seats, a la the State of the Union in Washington, but we’ll watch to see if the recent national bipartisan cordiality — fueled by the Giffords shooting and reinforced with the intermingled seating at SOTU — will prevail in the reception of Wednesday’s speech.
