Veterans from around the state are expected at the state Capitol Tuesday, for a Veterans Day on the Hill program.
Several groups, including the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, United Veterans Legislative Council and the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers are sponsoring the event, which will include discussion of their 2011 legislative agenda followed by lobbying of legislators.
Scheduled to speak are Gov. Mark Dayton, Veterans Affairs Commissioner Larry Shellito, Sen. Mike Perry and Rep. Bruce Anderson.
The program starts at 9:30 a.m. with posting of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance in the Capitol Rotunda.
Dayton is scheduled to speak at 9:50 a.m.
