William Craft has been named the new president of Concordia College in Moorhead and will take over his duties in July.
Craft, who will be Concordia’s 11th president in its 120-year history, has been vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, since 2000, says the Fargo Forum. The previous president, Pamela Jolicoeur, suffered a stroke and died last June.
David Solberg, chair of the college’s Board of Regents, said:
“Dr. Craft has demonstrated exemplary leadership throughout his accomplished career in higher education. We are impressed by his ability to create and carry out a vision for success. He believes in Concordia’s mission and has the experience, wisdom, and drive to lead us to new heights of distinction.”
