Three DFL candidates competing for the state Senate special election in District 66 will meet in a forum Saturday in St. Paul.
The forum runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carpenters Union Hall, 710 Olive St., St. Paul.
The DFLers — state Rep. John Lesch, former state Rep. Mary Jo McGuire and Steven Marchese, an attorney and pro bono development director at the Minnesota Bar Association — will face off March 29 in a primary election. The winner will move on to the April 12 special election against GOP candidate Greg Copeland.
The election will fill the state Senate seat vacated by Ellen Anderson, who was appointed chair of the Public Utilities Commission by Gov. Mark Dayton.
The district includes a northern swatch of St. Paul and part of Falcon Heights.
