Sen. Amy Klobuchar will speak Sunday at the Concordia College graduation ceremony in Moorhead.
The college is conferring about 600 bachelor’s degrees and four master of education degrees at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
Klobuchar’s staff says she’ll urge the graduates to show “determination, leadership and courage, including the courage to trust your own instincts, ask tough questions and challenge outdated paradigms.”
(And don’t forget: wear sunscreen.)
And she’ll highlight the community response to the recent Red River flooding and last summer’s Wadena tornado as examples of people coming together and accomplishing great things.
While in the area, Klobuchar will meet with local officials in tiny Bejou to discuss a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to update the community’s drinking water distribution system. And Monday she’ll discuss flood issues with officials in Oslo.
