In a digital world, front pages still come up big on big stories like Bin Laden

For news junkies, there are two great sites to peruse to see the best headlines and front-page treatments heralding Osama bin Laden’s death.

One is the Newseum site, the portal for the nation’s journalism museum in Washington, D.C., where hundreds of front pages are on display.

A quick look from F to P to Y reveals these:

Florence (Ala.) TimesDaily’s succinct: “He’s Dead.”

Philadelphia Daily News’ angry: “We Got The Bastard!”

• Or the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator (what a great name for a newspaper!): “US kills bin Laden.”

The Huffington Post
also had a front page slideshow … and it’s always a treat to borrow from the great borrowers themselves at HuffPo.
