Washington County Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek was arrested Monday by Woodbury police and booked on suspicion of felony domestic assault, reports the South Washington County Bulletin.
He was processed in the Washington County jail at 4:45 p.m. Monday after the arrest for felony domestic assault by strangulation and misdemeanor fifth-degree domestic assault, the paper said. He posted $25,000 bail at 8 p.m., a jail spokesperson said.
Pulkrabek had been mayor of Oakdale in the 1990s and is in his fourth term on the county board.
The Pioneer Press quotes a police official saying that the Washington County Attorney is expected to consider charges today.
