Lynne Torgerson to challenge Ellison again, calls him ‘radical Islamist’

Lynne Torgerson, who garnered little support last year running as an Independent against Rep. Keith Ellison in the 5th District, plans to try again, reports Minnesota Independent:

Announcing her plans on the Tea Party Nation website, Torgerson called Ellison a “radical Islamist” and said he “fails to oppose banning Islamic Sharia law in the United States.”

Notes the story:

Torgerson lost the race in 2010, garnering 3 percent of the vote versus Ellison’s 69 percent. During that bid she secured the backing of the Tea Party Nation.

A glutton for punishment. She’ll get the picture eventually, just like Ian Maitland did. He’s the loser (and I mean that literally) who time and again challenged Bruce Vento in east St Paul and got drubbed every time. Eventually he knocked it off, proving that even wingnuts are capable of (eventually) taking the hint.

I was appalled at Torgerson’s outrageous remarks about Keith Ellison, Keith has been a wonderful public servant first in the legislature and now in the congress. There is no one more loyal and dedicated to this country. It is not surprising that she was defeated last time and with any luck will be again. I would hate to have her as my representative.
