Hume takes deputy spot on Dayton staff

Bob Hume will become deputy chief of staff for Gov. Mark Dayton, replacing Andrea Mokros, who is leaving for a White House job.

Hume had been a top aide to St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman before joining the governor’s staff in January as a senior communications adviser. Hume had been with Coleman since the mayor took office in 2005, first as communications director, then as deputy chief of staff.

Mokros will be first lady Michelle Obama’s scheduling director.
