Alexandria voters pass referendum for new high school

In an early vote in the school referendum season, Alexandria area voters have approved funding for a new high school.

This will be a busy fall for school district votes around the state; officials say 113 Minnesota school districts plan to put an operating levy on the November ballot.

And there are even more that will ask voters for capital improvement funding, such as Alexandria did.

Unofficial totals for the Alexandria $65.15 million referendum: 5,554 “yes” votes (57 percent); 4,226 “no” votes, says the Echo Press.
