From Japan, Gov. Dayton prays for Coach Kill, praises Lynx playoff win

Gov. Mark Dayton is in Japan today, stopping there on the way to South Korea for a trade mission. He sent this statement about University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill, who checked into the Mayo Clinic Sunday for treatment of a seizure disorder:

“The hearts of all Minnesotans go out to Coach Kill and to his family. They are important members of our Minnesota family; and we will pray for his complete recovery.”

Dayton also praised the Minnesota Lynx for their Sunday playoff win that vaults them into the WNBA finals:

“I congratulate the Minnesota Lynx for their terrific victory over Phoenix and for reaching the Championship series for the first time in team history. I look forward to joining many thousands of Lynx fans in cheering for them again next Sunday.” (Dayton, who attended the Lynx’ home plaoff games, will be home in time for the first game of the championship series, Sunday in Minneapolis.)

Nothing from the Gov about the Vikings or Twins, though.
