Another DFL candidate will officially join the 8th District Congressional race Sunday, when Daniel Fanning holds a kick-off event in Duluth.

Fanning is a DFL activist in the Duluth area who had been working as a field coordinator for Sen. Al Franken.

He joins a DFL lineup of candidates including former state Sen. Tarryl Clark, (who lost last year to Michele Bachmann in the 6th District), Duluth City Council Member Jeff Anderson and former U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan. Other may emerge, as the DFL figures first-term Republican Chip Cravaack may be vulnerable.
