Dayton attends funeral for Army warrant officer killed in crash

Flags at state buildings are at half-staff today to honor Army Chief Warrant Officer II Lucas Daniel Sigfrid, a Champlin High School graduate who was killed earlier this month in a helicopter training crash in Washington.

Gov. Mark Dayton is attending Sigfrid’s funeral today.

Sigrid, 32, was a 1998 Champlin grad and attended St. Cloud State University. He was serving with the U.S. Army 4th Squadron/6th Calvary Regiment of the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Lewis, Wash.
