Jason Rohloff will head the University of Minnesota’s lobbying efforts as the new special assistant to the president for government relations.
University President Eric Kaler said the veteran lobbyist’s “energy, experience, deep knowledge of the legislative process, and track record of effectively working with diverse stakeholders will help move our institution forward.”
Rohloff is a U of M grad who’s worked in the state Legislature as House committee administrator, director of House Legislative Services and legislative director to the Sseaker of the House. He was former Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s director of federal affairs in Washington, D.C., and most recently a senior policy officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
He replaces Donna Peterson, who has retired.
