State Sen. Dave Thompson has announced an endorsement of Rick Santorum in time for tonight’s caucuses.
Thompson endorsed the former Pennsylvania senator and said he will emcee Santorum’s rally this afternoon at the Blaine Soccer complex. The 3 p.m. event is a caucus kickoff for Santorum.
It’s a busy day for Santorum, who had a Colorado appearance this morning, will be in Blaine this afternoon, and then flies to St. Charles, Mo., for a primary night rally there at 7 p.m.
Said Thompson in a statement:
“Rick Santorum is the only candidate who has consistently supported both the economic agenda and social policies America needs to move forward. Senator Santorum believes in American exceptionalism and will return America to the beacon of freedom and liberty that made this nation prosperous.”
