Hundreds of people have signed up on Facebook for a March 29 march at the University of Minnesota to protest the shooting in Florida of Trayvon Martin.

They’re calling it  the “One Thousand Hoodies March for Trayvon Martin.”

The shooting of the Sanford teen by a neighborhood watch captain is being investigated as a possible hate crime. Protests already have been held in Florida and New York City.

The Minnesota rally is Thursday at 6 p.m. at the University’s Northrop Plaza. Speakers are planned.
