Girl Scouts to honor 100 of their former members, plus three men

One hundred former local Girl Scouts who’ve made inroads and helped others will be honored April 21 with the organization’s Centennial Awards.

The group includes judges, politicians, business leaders, nonprofit executives and others. Among the 100 on the list are:

  • Joan Mondale
  • Betty McCollum
  • Anita Pampusch
  • Sharon Sayles Belton
  • Ann Bancroft
  • Marilyn Carlson Nelson
  • Toni Carter
  • Joan Anderson Growe

Three men will also be given “Honorable MENtions” for their work in the Girl Scout Community:

  • Don Lee
  • Jeffrey Redmon
  • Chingla Thao

The awards will be given April 21 at the Girls Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys Centennial Awards Gala at the Minneapolis Convention Center Ballroom.
