A search committee has named three candidates for the position of chancellor at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, and each will have a public interview next week at the school.

The three, and their interview times, are:

  • Steven S. Hardin, vice president and dean of academic affairs, University of Pittsburgh-Bradford. Public forum: Tuesday,  9 to 10 a.m. at Bede CDE, U of M, Crookston.
  • Karla V. Hughes, provost and vice president for academic affairs, Morehead State University, Ky. Public forum: Thursday, 9 to10 a.m. at  Bede CDE.
  • Fred E. Wood, vice chancellor for student affairs, University of California-Davis. Public forum: Friday, 9 to 10 a.m. at Bede CDE.

At the public forums, the candidates will talk about “Opportunities and Challenges Facing the University of Minnesota, Crookston.”

The current Crookston chancellor, Charles Casey, will retire at the end of the school year.
