Three men selected as finalists for judgeship in New Ulm

Three finalists have been recommended to Gov. Mark Dayton for an open judgeship in New Ulm.

The Commission on Judicial Selection recommended Robert Docherty, Patrick Rohland and Mark Ullery to fill the opening created when Judge John Rodenberg was appointed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

  • Docherty is currently a managing attorney with the Mankato Public Defender’s Office.
  • Rohland is the Redwood Falls City Attorney.
  • Ullery is an attorney who handles civil matters including plaintiff and defense personal injury, wrongful death and property damage cases and commercial litigation.

Dayton will interview the candidates and announce the appointment in the coming weeks.
