Women Winning endorses 50 pro-choice legislative candidates

The Women Winning organization, which raises money and provides support for pro-choice candidates, has endorsed 50 women running for the Legislature in November.

Half are incumbents, and half are challengers or seeking an open seat.

Women Winning was established in 1982 and says it had great success in the recent state special elections:

Women Winning endorsed in five of the six legislative special elections called in 2011 and all five women won — Rep. Carly Melin, Sen. Mary Jo McGuire, Sen. Chris Eaton, Sen. Kari Dziedzic, and Rep. Susan Allen.

Last year, Women Winning says it raised more than half a million dollars in direct contributions and candidate support.
