First day of the State Fair draws Gov. Dayton to the DFL booth

Gov. Mark Dayton also will do a radio interview.

The Minnesota State Fair opens today and Gov. Mark Dayton wastes no time making an appearance.

He’ll be at the DFL booth, at the corner of Dan Patch Avenue and Cooper Street at 11 a.m.

Then he’ll head to the  WCCO Radio booth for a 12:30 p.m. interview with Chad Hartman.

St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman made an early-morning trek to the Fair today, too. He’s greeted visitors, even though the fairgrounds is technically in Falcon Heights, not St. Paul.
