Jesse Ventura joining Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson at Macalester rally

Today’s rally for Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson at Macalester College will also feature former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura, who’s long expressed libertarian views.

In fact, Ventura appeared with Johnson earlier this week at a New York University rally, warming up the crowd for the candidate.

Johnson, who was governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003, may be a spoiler in some places in the November election, because he’s likely to pick up Republican votes in some swing states.

And as Ventura wrapped up his spiel in New York on Tuesday, he called out to the crowd, according to Bloomberg News:

“If I see light on the horizon with Gary Johnson, then in 2016 you might get Jesse Ventura.”

That seems to be about as definitive as Ventura gets about his plans these days.

The Macalester appearance is part of Johnson’s three-week campus tour. It’s from 1 to 3 p.m. at Macalester’s Kagins Commons Hill Ballroom.

    Taking Irrelevance on the Road

Is anyone still interested in what Jesse Ventura has to say? Apart from Jesse, that is?
