Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts will attend a debate watch Wednesday night in Minneapolis that’s a fundraiser for Jim Graves, who’s running against U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.
The event, at the hotel Graves owns in downtown Minneapolis — the Graves 601, 601 1st Ave. N. — starts at 6:30 p.m. with food and cocktails, followed by the debate on a big-screen TV from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Minimum recommended donation: $100.
Bachmann, who has long attacked Frank as a tax-and-spend liberal, is using the occasion to raise money, too, with a video on her website about Frank’s visit to Minnesota.
“Roll out the red carpet, shine up your shoes, but hide your wallets,” the video says.
