Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan to hold fundraiser in Minneapolis

Donors will  meet the Republican congressman at Solera restaurant.

Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan is scheduled to appear in Minneapolis Oct. 13, with a reception at Solera restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.

MPR News obtained a copy of invitations for the event, which includes a VIP photo reception at 6 p.m. ($2,500 per person); a general reception at 6:30 p.m. ($1,000 per person); and a private dinner at 7:15 p.m.($25,000 per couple).

No word yet on whether Ryan, the Wisconsin congressman, will make a public appearance on the trip.

Solera, the site of the Ryan reception, is managed by Graves Hospitality, the company founded by Democrat Jim Graves, who is running for Congress against Republican Michele Bachmann.
