The Fergus Falls High School marching band is headed back to Washington, D.C., to march and play in the Inauguration Day parade on Jan. 21.

The band also played at President Obama’s first inauguration parade in 2009.

Band Director Scott Kummrow told the Fergus Falls Journal:

“I wanted to call it a once-in-a-lifetime event, but I don’t know how I can say that now.”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s office worked with the band four years ago to polish its application. This year, Klobuchar says:

“There’s nothing better than seeing my own state’s band in the inauguration. It’s quite an honor.”
