The Bush Foundation said Friday that Lars Leafblad will head its expanded Leadership Program team and elevate "the scope and profile of the Foundation’s well-respected and long-standing leadership work."

Leafblad is currently a principal at executive search firm KeyStone Search, specializing in higher education, nonprofit and philanthropy clients. He also publishes, a community of more than 6,000 civic-minded citizens. He'd previously been director of development for the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.

Bush officials also named Alfonso Wenker as the Founding Fellow of the Foundation’s  Staff Fellows program.

The Staff Fellows program is a new "initiative designed to attract a diverse group of emerging leaders into the field of philanthropy."

Wenker, active in community engagement, led online fundraising and events work for Minnesotans United for All Families, which worked to defeat the marriage amendment in November's election.
