Gale O’Kane named interim president at Rochester Community and Technical College

O’Kane will serve as president while officials continue the search for a permanent leader.

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities’ Board of Trustees has named Gail O’Kane to be interim president of Rochester Community and Technical College.

She’ll replace RCTC President Don Supalla, who is leaving June 30 after 16 years on the job, reports the Rochester Post-Bulletin.

O’Kane is now as associate vice president for strategy, planning and accountability at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

State officials had conducted a six-month search for a permanent replacement for Supalla; when that was unsuccessful, they named O’Kane to the interim spot. The national search will continue.
