The next stop on Gov. Mark Dayton’s tour to tout his budget will be Tuesday night, April 16, in Virginia, Minn.
The governor is holding a series of meetings around the state to let residents weigh in on state budget issues. He explains his plan, which includes a tax hike on the highest state earners and more money for education, job creation and local governments.
He also hears from many opposed to his plans, and sometimes gets an earful on non-budget issues, like gun control.
Tuesday meeting in Virginia is at 6 p.m., in the Mesabi Range Community and Technical College Commons Area, 1001 West Chestnut St., Virginia, Minn.
