Gov. Dayton goes to Kentucky for governors meeting (and the Derby)

Gov. Mark Dayton leaves for Kentucky Friday to attend the Democratic Governors Association meeting in Louisville.

The group will discuss weighty issues and then attend Saturday’s Kentucky Derby.

Maybe the governor should bet on one of these Derby horses, any of which might remind him of the legislative business waiting for him back home:

  • Frac Daddy, 50-1 odds
  • Will Take Charge, 20-1
  • Lines of Battle, 30-1
  • Overanalyze, 15-1
  • Giant Finish, 50-1

The governor returns to St. Paul on Sunday.
