Electric-car charging-station numbers surging in Twin Cities area

The Line lists existing and planned stations, and says the number is surging.

The network of electric-car charging stations in the Twin Cities is about to get much larger, says The Line online magazine.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is working to add 76 more stations to the existing network  in the coming months in the metro area, the story said.

Fran Crotty of the MPCA told The Line: “It’s a totally new frontier, so it’s a matter of trying to get electric vehicle technology adopted so that it does become mainstream.”

The story lists 17 existing stations in St. Paul and three in Minneapolis, and plans to continue updating the list.
