Ways to get the word out about the coming MNsure health insurance exchange will be discussed this afternoon at a forum in Minneapolis.
Sponsored by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, the forum will look at MNsure’s plans to inform people about the exchange, which opens Oct. 1. The focus is on outreach to the uninsured and to communities with the highest rates of health disparities, organizers said.
The forum is open to the public and runs from 3 to 5 p.m. at U Garden Restaurant, 2275 University Ave. SE.
Scheduled to speak and answer questions are:
- Mario Vargas, senior outreach analyst for MNsure
- Alfred Babington-Johnson, president and CEO of Stairstep Foundation
- Matt Schafer, state government relations director of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
