Gov. Mark Dayton has declared Wednesday — the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks — to be Patriot Day and a A Day of Service and Remembrance in the state.
He ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to observe the anniversary.
The governor said in a statement:
“…we remember the innocent victims who lost their lives in the horrific acts of terror on 9/11. We also remember the first responders and others who sacrificed themselves so that others might live. As we observe this solemn anniversary, I join with all Minnesotans in honoring the memory of the victims and their families.”
