The funeral for former U.S. Sen. Rod Grams will be held Tuesday in St. Francis.
Grams, who was a television news anchor before entering politics, died last week. He was 65.
The 11 a.m. funeral will be at Zion Lutheran Church.
Grams was elected to Congress in the 6th District in 1992; two years later, he won the open Senate seat. He lost his 2000 re-election race to Mark Dayton.
He stayed active in politics after leaving Washington, supporting other candidates and attempting a 2006 comeback in a congressional race. He served for a while as chief of staff for Congressman Chip Cravaack.
He and his wife bought some Little Falls area radio stations in 2004. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2012.
