State officials have compiled a list of Minnesota-made products for people and companies looking for locally produced goods.
The state Department of Employment and Economic Development has created the list that already includes more than 600 state manufacturers that provide products and supplies.
The list can be searched online by product, company or county.
The goal: “to encourage Minnesota businesses to buy products and supplies from each other, rather than from out-of-state or foreign companies.”
DEED Commissioner Katie Sieben said:
“Made in Minnesota Directory is an efficient online database designed to help Minnesota businesses tap the local supply chain for their manufacturing needs. The directory will highlight the many manufactured products and goods made in Minnesota and strengthen Minnesota’s economy by encouraging local supply chains.”
Other Minnesota manufacturers are encouraged to sign up to be on the list.
