Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike McFadden reports $700,000 raised in quarter

Mike McFadden, the finance executive seeking the GOP endorsement to run against U.S. Sen. Al Franken, reports that his campaign raised $700,000 in the third quarter.

His total cash on hand is $1.2 million.

Franken and the other main Republican hopefuls — State Sen. Julianne Ortman, state Rep. Jim Abeler and St. Louis County Commissioner Chris Dahlberg — have not yet filed their quarterly reports.

Franken, though, raised nearly $2 million in the second quarter, reported in July.
