Gov. Dayton speaking at two Veterans Day events

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton will speak Monday at two Veterans Day events.

This morning he’s at the official state Veterans Day event at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights.

Then he’s heading to St. Cloud for a 1:30 p.m. appearance at the St. Cloud Area Metropolitan Veterans Council Veterans Day Program.

Col. Scott St. Sauver, Minnesota Army National Guard and commander of Camp Ripley, is the featured speaker at that event in the St. Cloud VA Auditorium.

During his term as a U.S. senator from 2001 to 2007, Dayton served on the Senate Armed Forces Committee, with positions on subcommittees for Airland; Readiness and Management Support; and Strategic Forces.
